Jeremy Smith is Harbourfront Centre's Chief Development Officer. Jeremy’s experience includes senior arts and cultural sector management. Born Northern England at 16, moving to London, Jeremy commenced a career working in West End and New York musical theatre, circus, drama, dance, opera and visual theatre companies in the UK, Europe, Japan and Australia. Upon completion of his MA in Art History and Museum Studies, Jeremy held various positions in the museum sector. He has worked for the Australian National Navy Museum, the Australian Maritime Museum, Sherman Galleries, Sydney Living Museums, and the Biennale of Sydney. Moving to New Zealand in 2010, Jeremy was appointed General Manager of Fortune Theatre, before taking on the role of Manager of Olveston, an historic house museum, art gallery and international visitor attraction.
